“Don’t find customers for your product, find products for your customers.” – Seth Godin

There are two takeaways from this statement:

  1. Don’t force your product on customers.
  2. Understand customers’ needs, preferences, and pain points to create great products that solve problems and meet expectations.

Example:
Your software company decided to develop a new project management product. Rather than building a product with all the latest features, take the time to survey potential customers and find out what they’re struggling with in their current project management software.
Focus on the pain points, and then tailor the product to resolve the pain points.
